MASALA PURI RECIPE
Who doesn’t like street food?? I know most of us are craving for street food in this quarantine.I feel King of all the south Indian street food is masala puri. When you can make masala puri at home easily, why sit there and just crave for it!! Here is the masala puri recipe, go ahead and give it a try.
Ingredients:
1. Cinnamon – 1 stick
2. Cloves – 3
4. oil – 2 table spoon
5. onion – 2
6. tomato – 2
7. green chilly – 3
8. coriander – 1/2 cup
9. mint – 1/4 cup
10. chilly powder – 1-2 table spoon
11. garam masala powder – 1-2 table spoon
Procedure of masala puri recipe:
1. Heat oil in a pan and add cinnamon, cloves, onion, tomato, green chilly, coriander, mint and fry for 5 minutes.
2. let it cool down, add chilly powder, garam masala powder and grind it into fine paste.
3. Pressure cook green peas with 1 potato.
4. Once it’s done mash the potatoes separately and mix it with the green peas.
5. Add the above prepared masala paste, water and salt to the green peas and potato mixture.
6. Cover it with the lid and let it simmer.
7. Crush some puri in a bowl, add the masala topped with onion, carrot, tomato, coriander and Sev.
SECRET TIPS:
1.You can add only mashed potato and keep the green peas to add it separately while preparing the masala puri. 2. For those who want sweet, boil 1 table spoon of tamrind juice and 2 table spoon of jaggery. Add water for flowing consistency. Tastes better when served hot.
