PUDINA PARATHA / LACCHA PARATHA

Pudina paratha recipe one of the simple yet tasty paratha recipe. When you’re bored of eating the plain roti you can add little spices and make pudina paratha or laccha paratha. Pudina has a nice flavor and with a right spices it tastes yumm. Also pudina is good for healthy, since roti is included in our daily diet, we can mix it up and make pudina paratha.

Ingredients:

1. Wheat flour – 1 cup

2. All purpose flour/maida – 1 cup

3. Pudina – 1/2 cup 

4. Pudina( dried) – 4 tablespoon

5. Chilly flakes – 3 tablespoon

6. Coriander leaves ( dried) – 3 tablespoon

7. Cumin powder – 2 tablespoon

8. chat masala – 1/2 tablespoon

9. Salt

10. Ghee

Procedure for making pudina paratha:

1. Sieve the wheat flour and maida into a mixing bowl and add chopped pudina and 2 tablespoon of ghee.

2. Add water in batches to make a firm dough.

3. Cover it with a kitchen towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.

4. Meanwhile make the filling by mixing dried pudina, chilly flakes, dried coriander leaves, cumin powder, chat masala and salt.

5. Take a small ball of dough and roll it out into a disc.

6. Gently brush it with melted ghee and sprinkle 1 tablespoon of above prepared filling mixture.

7. Fold the top edge of the disc, gently lift the edge and fold again in a pleat keeping the first edge on the top.

8. Continue doing this until the whole disc gets folded.

9. Roll it gently to make a ball.

10. Roll it out again to make a disc.

11. Cook both the sides on tawa adding ghee.

12. Serve it hot with raita.

Since the stuffing is spicy i prefer it with raita. You can also serve it with daal or any other subji.
