SHAVIGE BATH
Shavige bath is a popular Karnataka dish made with vermicelli. This is done using both wheat vermicelli and rice vermicelli. In this recipe let’s see how to make shavige bath using wheat vermicelli.
Ingredients:
1. Vermicell – 1 Cup
2. Oil – 4 Table spoon
3. Mustard – 1 Tea spoon
4. Bengal gram – 1 Table spoon
5. Urad daal – 1 Table spoon
6. Onion – 2
7. Curry leaves
8. Green chilly – 4
9. Salt
10. Grated coconut – 1/4 Cup
11. Lemon juice – 1 Table spoon
12. Coriander

Procedure for making shavige bath:
1. Give a nice roast to vermicel in a pan and set it aside
2. In the same pan, heat the oil and add mustard, bengal gram, urad daal, onion, green chilly and curry leaves.
3. Fry until the onion turns golden brown.
4. For 1 cup of vermicel add 1 1/2 cup of water, add salt as per your taste and also grated coconut.
5. let it simmer.
6. Add vermicel while stirring.
7. Close the lid and allow it to cook for 10 minutes.
8. Once it’s done, add lemon juice and coriander and mix well.
Serves : 2
Tastes better when it’s hot.
SECRET TIPS:
